Project 14 - When Bibles become the resources to empower
When you see that the war is rolling on with no end in sight, then all of life’s big questions take on a new level of relevance. Where is God? Why is He letting this happen? Why did my brother, husband, son, daughter, have to die? When is this going to end?
As humans we can say kind things and even try to answer some of these based on our limited understanding. However, it is times like this that we need words of wisdom, words that we can be sure are true, words that have power, words that were there from the beginning. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”
Bible study groups over here can sound unexciting uninspiring. However, in a country at war it could just be the place to ask, read, discuss, and wrestle with the word to find the answers.
Now imagine if the people who are asking these questions are young men. Men who know or are close to knowing, that Jesus is who He said He is. Young men who have passion to not just find answers but also have the courage to share the answers.
Imagine that they have found a “new church” in Ternopil in Ukraine lead by young men and women who are not restricted by tradition nor religion, but passionate about sharing Gods Love, His word and acting in His Spirit. Young men like Vadym.
So, when we get the opportunity to invest in such people, the answer is yes. Yes, to bibles they can learn and teach from. Yes, to questions we haven’t even been asked yet.
